Der Burgfried von Schloss Wildeck

Der „Dicke Heinrich“ ist einer der ältesten Teile von Schloss Wildeck. Mit 44 m überragt er alle Dächer der Motorradstadt Zschopau. Nach 144 Stufen bietet sich eine schöne Aussicht über das Zschopautal. Er bewachte im Mittelalter die Furt über die Zschopau. Dohlen und Turmfalken schätzen ihn und das Schloss heute als Nistplatz. --- The "Fat Henry" is one of the oldest parts of Wildeck Castle. At 44 m, it towers above all the roofs of the motorcycle town of Zschopau. After 144 steps, there is a beautiful view over the Zschopau valley. In the Middle Ages, it guarded the ford over the Zschopau. Jackdaws and kestrels now value it and the castle as a nesting place.
